Lyra+ Refund Policy

Effective date: October 6, 2026 Last updated: October 6, 2026

This Refund Policy explains when tickets bought through Lyra+ can be refunded, how refunds are paid, and how long they take. It is part of the Lyra+ Terms of Service. If an Event listing states a more generous refund policy, the listing controls for that Event. Nothing in this policy limits a refund right you have under applicable law.

1. The short version

  • Event canceled: you get an automatic full refund of your order, including Lyra fees and taxes. You do not need to ask.
  • Event postponed, rescheduled, or materially changed: your ticket stays valid for the new date or details. Refunds depend on the Host's policy and applicable law, and you can contact us if you cannot attend.
  • Changed your mind: tickets are final unless the Event listing allows refunds or the Host agrees to refund your order.
  • Refunds go to the original payment method of the person who bought the ticket.

2. Who decides refunds

Lyra+ is a ticketing and events platform. Unless we expressly identify Lyra as the organizer, each Event is organized by its Host, who sets the Event's refund policy and is responsible for honoring it. Lyra processes the payment, sends refunds through our payment provider, Stripe, and enforces the minimum protections in this policy.

Before you buy, check the Event page and checkout screen for any Event-specific refund terms, age limits, or entry requirements.

3. Canceled Events

If a Host cancels an Event and does not reschedule it, Lyra automatically refunds every paid order for that Event. The refund covers the full order total, which includes:

  • the base ticket price;
  • Lyra platform and service fees charged for the order; and
  • taxes charged on those amounts.

Your tickets are canceled when the refund is issued. We will notify you in the app or by email. Free tickets for a canceled Event are simply canceled.

4. Postponed, rescheduled, and changed Events

Event details can change. Opening acts, set times, lineups, amenities, and other details may change without making the Event a cancellation.

Postponed or rescheduled Events. Your ticket remains valid for the new date unless the Host or Lyra tells you otherwise. If the Host offers refunds for the new date, we will tell you how and by when to request one.

Material changes. A material change includes a move to a significantly different location, a change of date, or the removal of a headliner featured as the main attraction. If you cannot attend after a material change, contact the Host or Lyra support within 30 days of the change announcement. We will work with the Host on a refund or another remedy. If applicable law requires a refund, you will receive one.

5. Refunds you request

If the Event has not been canceled, send your refund request to the Host through the Event or contact Lyra support. The Host decides whether to grant it unless this policy or the law requires a refund.

When a Host approves a refund in Lyra Backstage, Lyra refunds the entire order, including Lyra fees and taxes, and cancels the tickets in that order. Hosts are not required to refund tickets that were already used for entry.

6. How and when refunds arrive

  • Refunds go to the original payment method used for the order, including in-person card payments taken at the door.
  • Lyra submits the refund promptly once it is approved or required. Most banks post refunds within 5 to 10 business days, but timing depends on your bank or card issuer.
  • If your card has expired or the account has closed, your bank usually forwards the refund to your new card or account. Contact your bank first, then contact us if the refund still has not arrived.
  • Refunds are issued in the currency of the original charge. Lyra does not refund currency-conversion or bank fees your payment provider charged.

7. Transferred tickets

Ticket transfers on Lyra+ are free, and they do not change who paid for the order. If an order containing a transferred ticket is refunded, the refund goes to the original buyer's payment method and the transferred ticket is canceled. Settle any reimbursement between the buyer and the recipient directly.

Ticket resale is not currently offered on Lyra+. If we introduce resale, we will update this policy before it launches.

8. Promotions, free tickets, and add-ons

  • Promotional pricing: a refund repays the amount you actually paid. A used promotion code or ticket allowance is not restored.
  • Free tickets: you can cancel a free ticket in the app before it is used.
  • Nonrefundable items: donations, fulfilled merchandise or services, and third-party products are refundable only if their provider's terms or applicable law require it.
  • Incidental costs: travel, lodging, parking, and similar costs are not refundable by Lyra.

9. Lyra+ memberships

Membership subscriptions are separate from tickets and are covered by Section 11 of the Terms of Service.

  • Subscriptions bought through Apple or Google: request refunds from Apple or Google using their refund process. Lyra cannot issue refunds for those purchases.
  • Subscriptions billed directly by Lyra: cancellation stops the next renewal. Partial billing periods are not refunded unless the law requires it or the purchase screen said otherwise.

10. Chargebacks and payment disputes

Please contact the Host or Lyra support before disputing a charge with your bank. We can usually resolve problems faster. If you open a dispute, Lyra may suspend the tickets in that order while the dispute is pending. If the dispute is decided in your favor, the tickets stay canceled. Filing disputes for tickets you used, or for charges you authorized, can lead to account action under the Terms.
