Lyra+ Host Terms
Effective date: October 6, 2026 Last updated: October 6, 2026
These Host Terms apply when you create, publish, promote, sell tickets to, or manage an Event on Lyra+ (a "Host"). They supplement the Lyra+ Terms of Service (the "Terms"), and capitalized words not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms. If these Host Terms conflict with the Terms about Host activity, these Host Terms control. The Refund Policy, Host and Seller Payout Policy, and Community Guidelines also apply to you.
You accept these Host Terms by selecting I agree in Lyra+ before you publish your first Event. If we materially change them, we will ask you to agree again before you publish another Event.
If you act for a business, venue, or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it to these Host Terms, and "you" includes that organization.
1. Your role and Lyra's role
You are the organizer of your Event. You control and are responsible for its lineup, venue, schedule, admission rules, pricing, refunds, safety, accessibility, staffing, and legal compliance. Lyra provides the technology that lets you list the Event, sell and deliver tickets, check people in, and communicate with attendees. Lyra is not the organizer, venue operator, or a party to your agreements with venues, performers, vendors, or staff, unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing.
2. Eligibility and verification
To host on Lyra+, you must be at least 18, hold a Lyra+ account in good standing, and give us accurate information about yourself and any organization you represent. To sell paid tickets or receive money, you must also complete payout setup with Stripe, including identity and bank verification, as described in the Payout Policy. We may ask for more information, such as proof of venue rights, permits, or insurance, before you can publish or keep selling.
3. Event listings
Your listing must be accurate, complete, and kept up to date. At a minimum, you must clearly disclose:
- the Event name, date, start time, and venue or location;
- ticket types, base prices, quantities, and sales windows;
- age restrictions, ID requirements, and dress codes;
- your refund policy, if it is more generous than the Lyra Refund Policy;
- accessibility information you are able to provide; and
- any material condition of attendance, such as prohibited items or health requirements.
Do not list fake, duplicate, misleading, or bait Events. Do not overstate the lineup, capacity, or amenities. Do not list Events you are not authorized to sell. Listings, flyers, and promotions must follow the Community Guidelines.
4. Ticket pricing and fees
You set the base price of each ticket. Lyra charges buyers platform, service, and payment-related fees and collects any required taxes, all disclosed at checkout. Lyra may also keep a Host fee from each paid ticket. Your net proceeds for each ticket type are shown in Backstage before you publish or change pricing. Lyra may change its fees prospectively, and changes do not affect tickets that were already sold.
You may not charge attendees hidden or undisclosed fees, require payment outside Lyra+ for tickets sold through Lyra+, or advertise a price that excludes mandatory charges where the law prohibits it.
5. Payments
Payments for Lyra+ tickets are processed by Stripe. Payment processing services for Hosts are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Services Agreement (together, the "Stripe Terms"). By setting up payouts, you agree to the Stripe Terms, as Stripe may modify them. You authorize Lyra to share information about you and your transactions with Stripe, and to obtain your transaction and connected-account information from Stripe, to provide the Services.
How and when you are paid, and when payments can be held or reversed, are covered by the Payout Policy.
6. Refunds, cancellations, and changes
- Cancellations. If you cancel an Event, Lyra refunds every paid order in full, including buyer fees and taxes, as described in the Refund Policy. Your share of each refunded order is reversed from your Stripe account.
- Material changes. If you postpone, reschedule, relocate, or materially change an Event, notify attendees promptly through Lyra and cooperate with the refund remedies in the Refund Policy and applicable law.
- Your refund policy. Honor the refund policy stated in your listing. You may also approve refunds for individual orders in Backstage.
- Reasons. You must give a truthful reason when you cancel an Event or refund an order. We may share that reason with affected attendees.
You are responsible for refunds, chargebacks, and related amounts that arise from your Event, including those caused by your failure to hold the Event as described.
7. Admission and check-in
You must admit every holder of a valid, unused Lyra+ ticket who meets the conditions disclosed in your listing. Scan tickets using Lyra's check-in tools. Each ticket admits one person, and only its first valid scan is accepted. If you deny entry, it must be for a lawful reason disclosed in the listing or required for safety.
8. Team members, sellers, and scanners
You may give other people access to your Event, including co-hosts and staff, designated sellers who sell tickets for commission, and guest scanners who check tickets in using a shared access code.
- You are responsible for everyone you grant access to and for what they do with it.
- Commission offers to designated sellers are governed by the Designated Seller Commission Agreement that the seller accepts. Commissions come out of your ticket earnings and do not change buyer pricing or Lyra's fees.
- Keep scanner codes and links confidential, and revoke access when someone no longer needs it.
- Make sure the people you authorize follow these Host Terms, the Community Guidelines, and applicable law.
9. In-person sales (Tap to Pay)
If you sell tickets at the door with Tap to Pay on iPhone, you must also comply with the Stripe Terms and any terms Apple requires for Tap to Pay. Take payment only in person, from the cardholder, for the ticket shown on the screen. Do not key in card numbers, save card data, or accept payments for anything other than Lyra+ tickets. Give buyers the receipt Lyra provides, and make refund and entry decisions for door sales under the same rules as online sales.
10. Attendee information
Lyra gives you attendee information, such as names, ticket types, and check-in status, so that you can run your Event. You may use it only to administer your Event, admit attendees, communicate about the Event, provide accessibility accommodations, handle safety issues, process refunds, and meet legal obligations.
You may not:
- sell, rent, or share attendee information with others, except your service providers who need it to run your Event;
- send marketing to attendees unless they consented or applicable law permits it;
- combine attendee information with other data to profile people, or use it to discriminate; or
- keep it longer than you reasonably need it.
When you use attendee information for your own purposes, you act as an independent controller or business under privacy law and must comply with applicable privacy, data-security, and marketing laws, including honoring opt-outs. Protect attendee information with reasonable security, and tell us promptly at support@lyraplus.com if you suspect it was accessed without authorization.
11. Legal compliance and safety
You are responsible for obtaining and complying with everything your Event legally requires, including:
- venue agreements, capacity limits, permits, and licenses;
- music, performance, and other intellectual-property rights;
- alcohol and age-restriction laws, including checking ID at entry;
- fire, health, safety, and security requirements, with adequate staffing;
- accessibility and anti-discrimination laws;
- consumer-protection, ticketing, and price-disclosure laws; and
- tax registration, collection, and reporting obligations, except for taxes Lyra is required to collect on its own fees.
Keep insurance that is appropriate for your Event. If a serious safety incident happens at your Event, notify Lyra promptly.
12. Prohibited Events
You may not use Lyra+ to list or sell tickets to Events that:
- are illegal where they are held, or involve illegal drugs, weapons, gambling, or other illegal goods or services;
- involve sexual services, the exploitation of anyone, or sexual content involving minors;
- promote violence, hate, or terrorism, or discriminate unlawfully in admission;
- are fundraisers that misrepresent where the money goes;
- are pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing recruitment, or similar schemes; or
- otherwise violate the Terms or the Community Guidelines.
13. Your content and Event highlights
You keep ownership of the listings, flyers, photos, and other content you provide. You give Lyra the license described in Section 13.2 of the Terms, which includes using your Event name, artwork, and description to display, recommend, and promote your Event on and off Lyra+.
If you use Lyra's AI tools for flyers, captions, or Event highlights, you must review the output before publishing it and make sure you have the rights to everything it includes. You are responsible for highlights you publish or export (see Section 6.3 of the Terms).
14. Reviews and ratings
Attendees may review your Events. You may not post or buy fake reviews, review your own Events, offer anything in exchange for positive reviews, or retaliate against someone for an honest review. You may respond to reviews respectfully.
15. Lyra's rights
To protect attendees, Hosts, and the Services, Lyra may, when reasonably necessary:
- review, edit for formatting, decline, unpublish, or remove a listing;
- pause ticket sales, limit ticket quantities, or cancel orders;
- issue refunds to attendees under the Refund Policy or applicable law;
- hold, delay, or reverse payouts under the Payout Policy; and
- suspend or end your hosting access.
Where appropriate and lawful, we will tell you why and give you a way to respond.
16. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Lyra Plus, Inc. and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, losses, penalties, refunds, chargebacks, and reasonable attorneys' fees arising from:
- your Event, including injuries, property damage, or cancellations;
- your listings and content;
- your use of attendee information;
- the conduct of your staff, sellers, scanners, venues, and performers; and
- your breach of these Host Terms or applicable law.
17. Term, termination, and changes
These Host Terms apply for as long as you host on Lyra+. You may stop hosting at any time, but you remain responsible for Events you have already sold tickets to, including their refunds, chargebacks, and amounts you owe. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive termination.
We may update these Host Terms. We will give you reasonable advance notice of material changes, through the app or by email. Changes do not apply retroactively to tickets that were already sold.
18. Disputes and contact
Disputes between you and Lyra are governed by the dispute resolution, arbitration, and governing-law sections of the Terms (Sections 24 and 27).
